I was born in Mauritius and came over to Australia in 1984. I originally settled in Perth, Western Australia and my partner and I made the move to Townsville in 2002. It was, without a doubt, one of the best decisions that we have ever made as, since arriving here, we have met some wonderful people, who have made us feel at home and who have since become firm friends. After 11 years as a Public Servant, I decided to fulfil my lifelong dream of becoming a Marriage Celebrant. After lots of hard work, I was authorised as a Commonwealth-Registered Celebrant.

 

I am endowed with a friendly personality, am very easy going, somewhat of an extrovert and LOVE to chat. I am down to earth, approachable, and have the knack to put people at ease.  I am also bilingual, speaking fluent English and French.

 

Being an immigrant to Australia, I love its multiculturalism and how harmoniously the various cultures and ethnic groups live and integrate with each other, especially in Townsville. I recognise that there is a range of ritual and ceremonial expressions across different cultures that are being incorporated, more and more, in the modern Australian marriage. As your  Celebrant, I can assist you in identifying ways to express your values and beliefs in relation to your ceremony and I am willing to work with you to ensure that, together, we plan a ceremony that I am confident you will be happy with. I will give you all the information that you need to enable you to choose or compose a ceremony that will meet your needs and expectations.
